The Jaguar Club – garage rock for Smiths fans
One of Brooklyn’s finest new young bands The Jaguar Club are celebrating the release of their debut LP ‘And We Wake Up Slowly’ which hit the streets on September 1, 2009. After recently playing some killer shows in their hometown of NYC with The Grates, The Veils, Foreign Born and more the band are going to hit the road again, this time to celebrate the release.

Take the opportunity to see them do what they do best which is play live.
Their debut album is comprised of songs written in a dark Brooklyn basement and recorded in a creaky barn upstate, resulted in an amazing amalgamation of garagey rock tracks propelled forward by Jeremiah Joyce’s explosive percussion and Yoichiro Fujita’s strong bassline with vocals that soar courtesy of singer/guitarist Will Popadic’s penetrating voice not unlike the croon of Morrissey combined with lyrical styling reminiscent of David Byrne.
