Chickenfoot, featuring guitar hero Joe Satriani, frontman Sammy Hagar, former Van Halen bassist Michael Anthony and world renowned drummer Chad Smith, have confirmed multiple UK release dates and formats for their highly anticipated second album Chickenfoot III, the follow-up to 2009′s award-winning eponymous debut album.

The album will initially be released in the UK as an exclusive Limited Edition Fan Pack, and will coincide with the international album release date of Tuesday September 27th. Produced by Mike Fraser (AC/DC, Metallica), the album will come in specially designed 3D packaging.

The Fan Pack includes two exclusive bonus tracks - Down The Drain (Live in Phoenix) and Oh Yeah! (Live in Phoenix) – and a 132-page magazine dedicated to the band. 100% Chickenfoot-approved, the fan pack magazine contains exclusive interviews with Sammy Hagar, Joe Satriani, Michael Anthony and Chad Smith, talking about the new album and their respective careers.

The Fan Pack details the making of the band’s new video, how they created the 3D album cover, an overview of their solo careers and the story behind each song on the new album. The magazine is also packed with rare photos of the band, an exclusive muso section, a Guitar Pick Pack, 3D glasses, and a 3D CD digital book pack with postcards.

On Monday October 24^th, Chickenfoot III will be released in the UK on CD, Deluxe Edition CD & DVD, and 12″ vinyl. The Deluxe Edition CD & DVD will include a Chickenfoot III EPK, Big Foot promotional video, Turning Left (live in Phoenix) and the Sexy Little Thing promotional video.

Today, Chickenfoot posted the official promotional video for the Big Foot single on YouTube. Details of the band’s September 27^th worldwide web simulcast concert, will be announced shortly.

Grace For Drowning is Steven Wilson’s second album and develops further the uncompromising creativity evident on his highly regarded debut, Insurgentes.

A double album ("Two 40-45 minute albums in the same package."), Wilson describes the release as, "My biggest project to date."

Wilson adds, “Insurgentes was an important step for me into something new. This record takes that as a starting point, but it’s more experimental and more eclectic. For me, the golden period for music was the late sixties and early seventies, when the album became the primary means of artistic expression, when musicians liberated themselves from the 3 minute pop song format, and started to draw on jazz and classical music especially, combining it with the spirit of psychedelia to create “journeys in sound.” So, without being retro, my album is a kind of homage to that spirit. There’s everything from [Ennio] Morricone-esque film themes to choral music to piano ballads to a 23 minute progressive jazz–inspired piece.”

Burning Shed is selling Grace For Drowning in three limited edition formats, a deluxe version, and as a 2cd digipack, and a heavyweight double vinyl issue.

The Deluxe version features 3 CDs (including a bonus CD of out-takes and demos) and a Blu-Ray disc, and is packaged in a hard back book, which features 120 pages of artwork and notes.

The Blu-Ray disc features 5.1 surround sound and high resolution stereo mixes of the album, additional demos, films for 5 tracks (directed by Lasse Hoile), photo galleries, hand written notes and lyrics.

The vinyl edition features both ‘albums’ on heavyweight (180gm) vinyl in a gatefold sleeve. It also comes with a drop card containing a code to download a digital version of the album.

The 2 cd digibook version comes with a 28 page booklet.

Due to the size and nature of the deluxe edition we are aware that shipping costs may be high to some parts of the world. Dave Stewart (keyboards) and Barbara Gaskin (vocals) are English musicians who have been working together since 1981, when their first single ‘It’s My Party’ reached number one in the UK. Since then they have built a reputation for creating intelligent pop music. The duo release their music on their own independent Broken Records label and occasionally perform live concerts.

Prior to playing at Tokyo’s TLG club in 2001 Dave & Barbara compiled and mastered a personal selection of rare and unreleased tracks.

The album was originally sold in a limited edition to the audience at Tokyo’s TLG club in 2001 and has not been available since – the music remains unchanged from the Japanese edition but the artwork has been redesigned and now includes new sleeve images by artist Mike Inns, photos from the duo’s personal archive, full track credits and extended sleeve notes by Dave Stewart. The CD ships in a 4-page colour Digipak with a 12-page colour booklet. Musical contributors include Andy Reynolds (guitar), Jakko Jakszyk (guitar), Porcupine Tree / King Crimson drummer Gavin Harrison and Annie Whitehead (trombone).

The compilation was sold in a strictly limited edition under the title of ‘TLG Commemorative CD’ to TLG concertgoers and has not been available since. The music remains unchanged from the Japanese edition but the album now features a completely new design by artist Michael Inns and a 12-page colour booklet containing photos from the duo’s personal archive, full track credits, new text and song notes by Dave Stewart.
